It was great to host this year’s Resco Next in Vienna and discuss the direction our industry is taking with our fellow enterprise app professionals.

Attendees were welcomed by Andrew Lorraine, who introduced key insights, opportunities and trends shaping our space. If you did not make it to Vienna this year, read this blog to get the main takeaways from his keynote.

Only one-third of frontline professionals have sufficient apps for work

Frontline professionals are not experiencing productivity gains at the same rate as other sectors. Only about a third are satisfied with their tech tools and applications. If you dig into it, you will find that productivity for frontline workers is more than just efficiency and technology.

Listen to Andrew present Resco’s revamped portfolio

“There’s a human factor that matters when you’re trying to help people become more productive, and it’s their experience with technology. Companies that understand this and prioritize and invest in their frontline technology end up being more productive,“ said Andrew.

When frontline workers are provided with technological tools to support them in performing their jobs, productivity is estimated to increase on average by 22%, with an overall bottom-line growth of more than 20%.

Mobile Solutions for verticals are a great opportunity for partners

Given the significant gap in sufficient productivity tools for frontline workers, Resco’s solutions offer an important opportunity for partners. Resco provides the necessary tools to enhance frontline productivity and drive financial growth.

Both the Mobile App Development Toolkit and the Mobile Solutions are tools for partners to build their own industry verticals and build new income streams.

The pre-built white-label solutions for property and energy industries can be used as a base for partners’ own solutions. “They come with a model-driven Power App that’s enhanced with Resco tools. This allows organizations or partners to take advantage of the great capabilities and innovations on the Power Platform,“ said Andrew.

Andrew Lorraine presenting the theme of the conference: Productivity Unleashed

Some partners have already been successful in creating a strong income stream based on our solutions. Read more about Johnathan Taub and his FIELDBOSS solution for HVAC companies or Tom Moortgat’s Fearless Leader solution for pharma sales.

We have added a new solution to our offering, Resco Inspections+ Property, which allows users to schedule visits, inspect properties, gather data, report, and analyze field data.

Power Platform is the next space for frontline enterprise apps and AI innovation

Power Platform has evolved into a strategic tool for building enterprise apps, gaining interest from Resco Next attendees. From 100 of the enterprise app professionals asked, two-thirds of them expect to develop most of their apps on the Power Platform by 2025.*

We are excited to contribute our expertise to it. “Thanks to our experience and the 1.2 million lines of code we have written for mobile CRM apps, we can add value to partners and customers building apps on it,” said Andrew.

inline_518_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/april-dunnam-resco-next-2024-scaled.jpg
April Dunnam from Microsoft

During the keynote, Andrew was joined on stage by Microsoft’s Principal Cloud Advocate, April Dunnam, who spoke more in-depth about how Power Platform can significantly decrease the time it takes to build a solution. She invited ISVs to contribute their expertise to the platform.

“We really need ISVs in the Power Platform space to innovate and specialize. There are going to be gaps in the product where we need to be able to extend the out-of-the-box experiences, and that’s where ISVs are strategically placed to help,” said April.

Resco Power Solutions enable partners to build faster

Following April Dunnam’s insights about the growing opportunities on Power Platform, Resco is proud to be an early adopter of this innovative space. We offer Power Solutions and Power Components to help partners build business solutions more quickly and with less maintenance.

Resco’s Power Solutions provide a comprehensive framework that includes essential functionalities for data collection or document generation, allowing app makers to focus on tailoring their applications to specific business needs without starting from scratch. This not only accelerates the development process but also ensures consistency and reliability.

Our Power Components are pre-built modules that can be easily integrated into apps, offering capabilities such as image gallery, Kanban board, tree view, or file upload. These components reduce the development effort and time significantly, enabling partners to deliver robust solutions faster.

A new class of software solutions

We encourage our partners to leverage the full suite of Microsoft Business Applications and Resco technology to provide users with a great experience and seize opportunities.

“We want to create a new class of software solutions for frontline workers and supply the booming market out there, and an opportunity for all of us,” said Andrew Lorraine.

Curious to see how it all develops? Let’s talk about it in 2025 at the next Resco Next.

Read how our CEO expanded his understanding of ‘value’ and made it central to Resco’s future.

Every business around the globe aspires to deliver value to its customers. At the most basic level, this means meeting customer expectations. Does our product work? Is it reliable? Does it fulfill its purpose?

But beyond these basics, the best businesses measure and deliver what their customers want across a wider range of needs. They ask themselves questions like: do our products help our customers achieve their larger objectives? Do our customers feel great when they use them?

Recognizing what matters to the people we serve

When I started at Resco, my understanding of value was as simple as could be. I owe a large part of my personal development to obtaining a broader, more meaningful understanding of value.

I used to think value meant discovering the right price for Mobile CRM licenses. When I started my career on the Resco sales team, I thought that if we met the basic functional requirements of our customers, the only remaining priority had to be securing a win-win price for Resco subscriptions. In most of my pursuits, I followed the same pattern of confirming our offline support for Dynamics 365 and listing off product features before going right to the price negotiations. Sure, I closed some deals, but I missed a big opportunity to understand the broader needs of our customers and what they truly value.

More than “table stakes”

Thankfully my perspective evolved as my role shifted towards serving our tremendous partners. I quickly learned that meeting basic requirements and having competitive pricing were “table stakes” value—a given part of doing business together. And that we had to aspire for more.

Jonathan Taub was one of my mentors who helped me understand the bigger picture around value. He’s the president of FIELDBOSS, one of the top Resco partners and the recipient of our 2023 Global Partner of the Year Award

Thanks to Jonathan, my thinking about value expanded as we worked on growing the Fieldboss-Resco partnership. Throughout our frequent talks, I was able to improve my understanding of functional value—the kind of business impacts we can achieve for our customers through a Resco app—along with opening my eyes to operational and relationship value—improving the bottom line of our partner’s business and making it fulfilling to work together at the human level.

It’s been awesome to see Johnathan and the entire FIELDBOSS team succeed with Resco and Microsoft in the elevator and HVAC space.

In my current role as Resco CEO, I’ve come to embrace an even bigger perspective on value creation and delivery. My focus has expanded to topics like stability, community, exchanging know-how, aesthetics, UX, innovation, industry reputation, and social responsibility, helping me develop a nuanced understanding of what matters most to our customers and steering our organization towards achieving it.

Supporting higher productivity with better technology

At Resco Next 2024, we’ll be focusing on the value we aspire to create by helping our customers become more productive. In an era of rapid change, enabling productivity is the ultimate service we can provide – allowing our customers to become more efficient through simpler enterprise app development and better frontline worker experiences.

Value has always been deeply ingrained in Resco’s DNA. But we also recognize that customer needs evolve over time, and so does what they value. This evolution is reflected in the things that we do moving forward, like continuous improvements to our sync, an overhauled onboarding experience, and sharing more valuable insights about the future of enterprise applications.

Resco Next 2024 offers the best chance to participate in this valuable exchange with us – make sure to reserve your spot soon!

As we continue this journey, it’s not just about meeting expectations; it’s about exceeding them by recognizing and valuing what truly matters to those we serve.

We’re thrilled to share more details about the agenda for Resco Next 2024. Discover the conference’s main themes and join us in Vienna, Austria on June 4-5 for the 10th anniversary of this can’t-miss community event.

The rate of change for technology is having drastic impacts on business and IT. And it’s causing a radical shift in how we think about productivity – from implementations and billables to strategic partnerships and results.

That’s why the theme for Resco Next 2024 is productivity unleashed.

How can app makers be more productive with less code?

How can frontline workers be more productive through a better UX?

Join the Resco Community in Vienna to learn, collaborate, and chart a path towards a more productive future for your business.

Better outcomes for frontline workers

Despite their critical role, frontline workers often fall behind in terms of digital investments and their experience with technology – ultimately limiting how productive they can be.

Game-changing sync and performance innovations

Come learn how Resco is addressing these challenges by driving major improvements to our Resco Mobile App Development Toolkit, including game-changing sync and performance innovations, a revamped UI and UX for our users, and our long-term vision for an engaged, productive mobile workforce.

Dedicated non-profit sessions

For the first time this year, we are featuring dedicated sessions about non-profits. Alex Mouratchanidis will speak about the impact that HIAS, a non-profit organization focused on providing aid to refugees, was able to achieve by partnering with Resco.

We are also excited to host Lisa Crosbie, a technology evangelist with robust expertise in Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft Dynamics 365. In her session on “Practical AI Tools for Nonprofit” she will explore AI tools for fundraising and supporter engagement.

New: Industry-specific applications

We’ll also be introducing an exciting way for Partners to channel their know-how towards bringing in new business. Come get inspired by Resco Mobile Solutions, industry-specific applications that leverage the best of Resco and help organizations rapidly digitize their field operations.

Productivity unleashed with Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot

Thanks to its leading AI, Copilot and low-code development capabilities, organizations around the globe are turning to the Power Platform to improve their processes and stand out amongst the competition.

Resco introduced our first set of solutions for the Power Platform last fall at Resco Next 2023. And this year will be no different. At Resco Next 2024, we’ll be launching Resco Power Components, a brand-new set of tools that help app makers become instantly more productive on the Power Platform. Don’t miss the opportunity to get early access.

We’ll also be joined by a leading group of Microsoft MVPs and enterprise app development experts to help attendees become more effective at delivering impactful solutions:

  • Daniel Laskewitz will teach us everything about building, expanding, and deploying Copilots in your solutions to accelerate productivity.
  • Vivian Voss will expand on the AI topic by showing us how to utilize Copilot for sales and guide us through integrating it with Office 365.
  • Yannick Reekmans will take the stage to speak about the evolving role of a Solution Architect in the ever-expanding Microsoft cloud ecosystem.
  • And Antti Pajunen will share guidance on app development and governance on the Power Platform.

Don’t miss it!

We are also excited to welcome April Dunnam, Principal Cloud Advocate for the Power Platform, to Vienna as our distinguished speaker.

Most speakers and sessions will take place during the two main conference days on June 4 –5. The day before the conference (June 3) is dedicated to consultation sessions and an exclusive sales workshop by Rick McCutcheon.

Introducing Tech Deep Dive Day for developers

This year, we’re adding something special to Resco Next – five in-depth technical sessions crafted by Resco CTO Tomas Michalek and our team of developers for the pro-code crowd.

These hands-on sessions will take place in our Bratislava office one day before the conference, and they’re oriented towards helping developers and technically-skilled consultants code more productively. You can look forward to the following topics:

  • Supporting multi-platform apps with .NET
  • Writing JS for JS Bridge (best practices)
  • Context awareness in your apps (location-based services)
  • Advancements in Sync: employing the TDS Dataverse reader

Make sure you don’t miss the last one! We’ve innovated our world-class sync engine to deliver up to a six-times faster performance, saving frontline workers some serious time on the job.

Note: Tech Deep Dive Day will take place on June 3, 2024, in our Bratislava HQ. Contact your Business Development Manager or our team at events@resco.net to claim your spot.

The venue

We have selected the Courtyard by Marriott to be the venue for Resco Next.

It is a spacious and comfortable hotel with plenty of casual spaces to meet and talk. The hotel is located in Leopoldstadt, the second district of Vienna, near the famous Prater amusement park.

inline_808_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/2024/01/courtyard-marriot-hotel-vienna-prater-messe-bar.jpg

Courtyard by Marriott is also the official hotel of the NFL. A gym and a sauna are available to all guests.

The theme of the conference

Resco Next 2024 will look at the state of enterprise app development. We are working hard on bringing you the best domain experts, thorough case studies and inspiring speakers. More information about the sessions, speakers, and a full agenda will be revealed soon.

What awaits you in Vienna?

A lot of inspiration, we hope! Vienna is a truly magnificent city to walk around with many cozy restaurants, iconic cafes and rooftop bars with gorgeous views. It is the ideal backdrop for conversations and networking.

Here is a short overview of what you can find there:

Innere Stadt (City Center)

When in Vienna, you should not miss a walk through the historic center. You can walk along the historic buildings of Hofburg, the Art History and Natural History Museums, Stephansplatz and many beautiful palaces. If you’re up for a more challenging walk, walk all the way up to the Gloriette and enjoy a beautiful view of the whole city.

A true metropole, Vienna has many well-kept city parks, such as the Stadtpark, where everyone meets to enjoy some good weather.

inline_337_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/2024/01/shutterstock_2024521886.jpg
St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Stephansplatz

Vienna has a great transportation system, so any of the main parts are easily reachable by metro or tram.

Café culture

When you get tired of walking around, stop by for some refreshment at one of Vienna’s iconic cafes. Austrians are notorious for doting on the quality of their desserts, but you can also get a savory snack, or a schnitzel, at most of the cafes.

Café Central, Herrengasse 14

Take a run in Prater

Why not have a bit of fun? Head to the Prater and take a ride on the “Wiener Riesenrad” – a famous Ferris wheel from 1897. The old amusement park is close to our venue, has retro and new rides and is a popular spot with the locals. Runners also like to frequent the spot.

MuseumsQuartier

The modern art scene is centered around Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier, where you will find the Leopold Museum, Museum of Modern Art (MUMOK), street art and lots of people enjoying a cool drink or espresso.

The first set includes three apps: Forms+, Docs+, and Steps+, which give you the ability to create questionnaires, documents, and guides (and much more).

Now anyone developing on the Power Platform will be able to utilize the best from Resco to speed up the development of business applications that tackle frontline challenges related to data capture, knowledge sharing, and document generation.

Toan Fjeldaas from Evidi joined Andrew on stage at resco.NEXT 2023

Andrew was joined on stage by Toan Fjeldaas, the Chief Product Officer at Evidi, who developed a custom solution combining the Power Platform with Resco’s technology. You can learn more about the Power Solutions in our explanatory blog.

We are supporting partners in building their own verticals

We see this as a great opportunity for partners to differentiate themselves in the market and to create a new business offering.

“Our technology can do the heavy lifting and enable partners to create a branded, custom app,” said Andrew.

Another partner utilizing Resco’s technology for a specialized business app is Tom Moortgat from Cegeka. Tom has built Fearless Leader, a fully customized solution for the pharmaceutical industry.

It’s a tailored ISV solution for enhancing sales and service performance, utilizing Resco’s mobile capabilities to build it on top of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and Power BI.

Further investing in the quality of the mobile experience

We are continuing to invest significantly in developing our offline capabilities to keep delivering the best offline experience on the market.

We are focusing on making UI / UX improvements to ensure frontline workers’ experience with enterprise software is as comfortable as consumer apps.

Some of the UX / UI improvements are already available as a part of our recent release.

Bringing the cloud to the ground

These were the five key takeaways from Andrew Lorraine’s keynote.  The conference then continued with two tracks – the Technical Track and the Business Track.  The overarching theme connecting them is our dedication to building mobile-first technology that works reliably and is geared towards meeting the real needs of users.

We really are thrilled to be here to reconnect with you, and also, to roll up our sleeves, to talk about the specific challenges that your businesses are facing.

This year’s location for the resco.NEXT conference is the sunny and warm city of Marbella, located on the southern coast of Spain.

We have put together a summary of all the best spots in the city to make sure you have a great experience at resco.NEXT this fall. Don’t forget to download our event app to have all important conference information easily accessible on your phone. Download it from App Store or Google Play Store.

inline_697_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/know-before-you-go-resco-next-marbella-old-town.jpg

Let’s take a look at the weather forecast first. Costa del Sol is Spain’s sunniest spot. You can expect great weather with temperatures at approximately 20 – 25 degrees Celsius (70 – 80 degrees Fahrenheit). Perfect for a run and a refreshing swim in the hotel pool or sea afterwards. Our annual pre-conference run is on the agenda on Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Now, onto some practical information to make sure you know your way around.

Airport transport and hotel information

The conference will be held at the recently opened Hard Rock Hotel Marbella from Oct. 23 – Oct. 25, 2023.

Malaga Airport is the closest international airport in the area. An Uber/Bolt taxi ride from the airport takes about 40 –50 minutes if there are no traffic jams. It is also possible to take a bus from Terminal 3.

About the hotel

The Hard Rock Hotel is located within walking distance of the Puerto Banús Marina. You can take a short walk along the shops, taxi, or subway to reach the beachfront.

Favorite attractions in Marbella: Old Town and Puerto Banús

inline_620_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/know-before-you-go-marbella-plaza-de-los-naranjos-1.jpg

Old Town: Plaza de los Naranjos

The plaza dates from 1485; it is an area that was created to be the city’s urban hub. It is framed by typical white Andalusian houses and historic buildings. In the center of the plaza is a Renaissance fountain surrounded by orange trees, from which the square now takes its name.

It has a lovely atmosphere ideal for a light lunch or tapas dinner in the old heart of the city.

Old Town: Parque de la Alameda

Located next to the Old Town is the Alameda Park with ceramic benches, which offer rest in the shade after exploring. It dates to the 18th century with a wide variety of botanical species, two large promenades and a beautiful, tiled fountain.

If you want to explore further, you can stroll down to Avenida del Mar Promenade, which features outdoor sculptures by Salvador Dali.

Puerto Banús and beautiful beaches

Walk along the promenade of this beach and see the whole marina of Puerto Banús with all its palm trees, cafés, shops, and restaurants. Next to the marina are two of the most popular beaches in Marbella, Río Verde and Duque.

The City Council works hard to maintain the 27 kilometer-long coastline and has earned nine Blue Flag Certificates for their cleanliness and services.

Artola Dunes and Cabopino Beach

For all its seaside glamour, Marbella is surrounded by lush and beautiful nature that is well preserved. You can take a long walk on the boardwalks built to protect the natural Artola Sand Dunes and go for a swim at the Capobino Beach close by.

The cuisine and restaurants in Marbella: seafood, steak and tapas

Our hotel has two restaurant options. The first one, Sessions, is a buffet-style restaurant that serves a unique take on the Spanish cuisine. The second one, Nu Downtown, offers a la carte Asian fusion cuisine and cocktails. You can also enjoy a burger on the outside hotel terrace next to the pool.

inline_833_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/know-before-you-go-el-cortijo-marbella-restaurant.jpg

If you venture out of the hotel for dinner, you will discover that Marbella is a melting pot of cultures and offers a variety of cuisines – steak, seafood, Spanish, Indian, Mediterranean, or fusion. A lot of Marbella’s restaurants are located at the beach, which means you can enjoy a beautiful view. We fully recommend visiting one of them during your stay.

Seafood with a view: The Garum Restaurant, The Harbour Bar and Restaurant, El Cortijo (pictured), Bar Altamirano

inline_562_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/urrechu-erre-restaurant.jpg

Steak grill with a Michelin star: ERRE & Urechu

Erre & Urrechu is a restaurant featuring no fewer than three wood grills: holm oak for meats; orange tree wood for vegetables; and olive wood for fish. BBQ restaurants are very popular in Marbella.

Marbella is a popular filming location and is often featured in Hollywood movies. It is not uncommon to meet celebrities such as Antonio Banderas, Julio Iglesias, Hugh Grant, and other celebrities, who have homes there or visit frequently. There are quite a few restaurants with Michelin stars in the area.

Best Tapas in Old Town: San Lázaro Street

Book an outside table and watch the world go by while enjoying classic tapas dishes and house wines. They also offer non-alcoholic cocktails. San Lázaro Street is a reference point for tapeo. Instead of going for a sit-down meal, opt to visit various tapas bars in town.

More Tapas in Old Town: Cider House Paca, Taberna La Niña del Pisto, Taberna Tierraranda, Bar Restaurant Bartolo, Bar El Estrecho, Mia Café Tapas Bar, Arco Tapas Bar (pictured)

With the date coming closer, it is our pleasure to announce that we will hold our fifth annual Resco Partner Awards in Marbella.

Awards are an excellent opportunity for Resco to recognize partners that deliver outstanding business results and customer experience, innovate work processes, and transform their customer’s businesses.

This year, we are celebrating three categories:

  • Partner of the Year
  • Breakthrough Partner of the Year
  • Business Impact of the Year

You can apply for the Business Impact of the Year award. Don’t miss out; entries are open until September 30th.

This award is an opportunity for every partner to tell their customer success story, regardless of the country your company is based in, your size, or the length of our partnership.

It brings you greater visibility and recognition on top of receiving two complimentary passes for the resco.NEXT 2024 conference, in market development funds and other benefits.

If you are interested in finding out how to apply, read on.

A closer look at the Business Impact of the Year award

Any customer project that showcases how you used Resco to build solutions and made a real impact, delivering meaningful and sustainable changes, is a suitable candidate for this award. We are seeking such projects that have demonstrated creative problem-solving and leadership, not only successful technical implementation. Project creativity, strong business practices, and innovation are also factors to be considered.

inline_397_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/partner-awards-business-impact.jpg

The award was created to celebrate partners that have empowered their customers and strengthened partnerships between them and their clients.

Criteria

  • Measurable (e.g., time saved; increase in clients revenue, number of customers visited, presentations made; decreased sync time, etc.)
  • Qualitative (proven by a customer testimonial or quote, e.g., improved collaboration among teams, increased data quality, increased worker satisfaction, etc.)
  • Project size: number of users using Resco in the client’s organization

The most valuable entries are those that include as much detail and are ideally backed up by customer testimony. Metrics, numbers, and statistics are all vital. You need facts to describe the challenge specifically and show how you improved a client’s business. Tell your story and tell it well. And please make sure that the customer is okay with you sharing this information.

Submit your application for Business Impact of the Year by September 30th at this link: https://forms.office.com/e/0KFr1PspPC

The winner will be featured in follow-up press releases, blogs, and other marketing activities and will receive a marketing kit (award logos, press template, designation badge, photos & video, etc.), so they can promote their accomplishment.

The Conference

Resco.NEXT will take two days. There will be time and place not only for the packed agenda but also for networking and discussions with community members – all at a convenient pace.

Resco is focused on bridging the gap to ensure the big decisions companies make have ways of working in the hands of the mobile workforce.

inline_535_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/next-partner-awards.jpg

After the first conference day, we will gather at the evening reception with the signature Woodford tasting session. On the second day, the program will conclude at 3 pm.

Take a detailed look at the agenda

The Venue

Last year we had a blast in Lisbon. We wanted to keep the bar high and let our attendees enjoy a relaxed seaside atmosphere, a pleasant conference space, and excellent service.

We visited more than a dozen venues all around Spain before we came upon the Hard Rock Hotel in Marbella. It has everything we were looking for: top-notch conference spaces, recently refurbished rooms, and a restaurant offering local food.

inline_390_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/hard-rock-hotel-marbella.jpg

Rock music fans will be in 7th heaven amid a curated collection of music memorabilia. Even if you fancy other music styles, you can still enjoy a lush garden next to the poolside bar and all the amenities. The latest generation of audiovisual equipment completed by a led wall is a matter of course at resco.NEXT.

The inspiring and modern hotel near the Puerto Banus Marina will be the perfect home base. Plus, it’s conveniently located less than an hour’s drive from both Malaga and Gibraltar International airports.

Learn more about the venue

The Hosting City

Marbella is a charming Spanish seaside town at Costa del Sol. October is a great month to visit Marbella if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxed atmosphere and pleasant weather.

inline_402_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/marbella-puerto-banus.jpg

We have cherry-picked the best experiences this popular destination has in store. We’ll explore what to see and do even if you book a more extended stay.

Visit a beach

In autumn, the flocks of tourists have already departed from Costa del Sol, but temperatures are still warm enough for a dip in the Mediterranean. The sea has an average temperature of 21°C during October.

Head for Playa Nueva Andalucía – it will take you less than 20 minutes to walk from the conference venue. A sand beach over 1 km long and 30 meters wide consists of a series of coves perfect for enjoying the sea.

Go hiking

The pleasant October weather, with average daily temperatures ranging from 17 to 25°, is excellent for hiking. Choose from a variety of scenic mountain trails in the beautiful Sierra Blanca Mountains or a slow-paced coastal walk.

If you enjoy jogging, meet us for a traditional Resco NEXT morning run. The meeting time, place, and route will be announced soon.

inline_189_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/next-run.jpg

Hit the links

Spend quality time with your business partners at one of the nearby golf courses. With over 100 courses, Andalucia is one of the foremost golfing destinations in the world.

Chill at the conference venue

Stay at the venue and enjoy networking, chatting with speakers and fellow attendees, and the slow-paced, relaxed seaside atmosphere.

inline_135_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/hard-rock-hotel-marbella-dining.jpg

Walk to the Puerto Banús marina

The glamorous marina is home to luxury yachts, high-end boutiques, and top-rated restaurants. You can take a leisurely 20-minute walk from the venue to the marina, enjoy the views of the sea, and do some shopping.

Stroll the streets of the Old Town

The historic center of Marbella is situated further from the venue, but it is a must-see for its picturesque streets, ancient churches, and charming squares. Stroll through the narrow streets and admire the colorful flowers and traditional Andalusian architecture.

Visit Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo

The museum dedicated to contemporary Spanish engraving hosts a collection of works by renowned artists such as Picasso, Miró, and Dalí.

Top 5 questions about Resco features from resco.NEXT 2022
At this year´s resco.NEXT, we gave the audience an opportunity to ask whatever they needed to know about our solutions. In this article, you will find the answers to the five most frequent questions about Resco features.

  1. Our data synchronization takes a lot of time. Is there a way to speed it up?

If you are experiencing issues with synchronization, Resco has many guides you can follow to set up sync.

You can start with our Wiki, where you’ll learn the basics of synchronization, and continue to the Resco Academy course dedicated to sync. The course will take you through synchronization in Resco, sync configuration in Woodford, the different types of sync, and much more.

You can also expand you knowledge by joining our three-part online training which will teach you how to master synchronization. It will last from November 29 to December 1 and you can register here.

If your synchronization issues persist, you can always get in touch with our support, who will help you set up your project in the best possible way.

  1. Is there an option to generate Mobile Reports on Dynamics from the browser (back-office)?

The short answer is no. The long answer is that although you can only use 3rd party solutions currently, this highly requested feature will definitely be part of one of our next releases.

  1. Do you plan to improve Report Designer so it’s easier to work with?

Yes. We are continually collecting user feedback for the Report Designer, and as the next step in improving this tool’s usability, we will be redesigning the Grid editor in Q4.

  1. What are the plans for the mobile app user interface update?

Yes. From the UI/UX priorities point of view, improving the UI/UX of the mobile app, especially the login and main menu, is a number one priority, which is why we have also dedicated a workshop on resco.NEXT to UI/UX.

The following year, we will deliver continuous improvements, starting with more style templates and later introducing structural UI/UX changes.

  1. Will you be developing more functionalities for the Resco Cloud standalone solutions?

Last year, we focused mainly on the back-end functionality of the Resco Cloud field service product. Resco Cloud, as a standalone CRM, is still an option for simple scenarios.

However, we plan not to dedicate as many resources to it as we did in the past in terms of adding more back-office role functionalities. There is continuous development based on the business opportunity when it comes to authentication options, supporting more integrations with other services, fine-tuning performance, and supporting more 3rd party services.

Any further questions?

If you have any additional questions about Resco features, check out the Resco Wiki or feel free to get in touch with us through our support portal.

Today at resco.NEXT, you had the opportunity to hear lots of insights, success stories, and expert discussions. If you couldn’t make it or want to relive it, you can read our blog to discover the most important takeaways from the Keynote.

1. Valuing meaningful human connections

We all know that technology helps us solve many challenges, but we must not forget about human connections. It is very tempting to get swept up by the rising tide of technology and look to AI, robots, metaverse, and other new tech to solve humanity’s biggest problems, but we must be careful. Although they offer tremendous promise and value for the business, they can also isolate us and deemphasize the role of human connections.

Resco’s human-centered approach is prominent in how we conduct business and communicate with our clients and partners and in how we choose to work with technology. We are aware of the role we play.

Our purpose isn’t to replace workers with automation – instead, we aim to serve as the bridge between Big Tech and the technicians, salespeople, and field staff. That is why we use technology in a way that benefits all the parties.

inline_545_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/DSC06338-1024x683.jpg

2. Listening to our customers & partners

Customer and partner requests have always been at the forefront for us at Resco. We respond to their needs and market expectations that call for more advanced mobility focused no-code/low-code platform tools and pre-built and quick-to-deploy accelerators and modules.

In addition to that, you can expect us to:

  • Meet you more in person
  • Significantly increase resources for existing Resco projects
  • Extend the key account management coverage

We do all that to improve what we do best: solutions to build the best enterprise mobile apps.

inline_558_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/DSC06325-1024x683.jpg

3. Enhancing our platform focus

We are consolidating our standalone apps into our platform and switching to a modular approach to solutions that better fit our core focus on mobile workers. That means we’ll be able to put more resources into ensuring our current projects are successful while expanding the toolkit for partners.

With this in mind, we’ve provided you with:

  • Improved UI and UX of mobile apps and designer tools
  • Modularized and enterprise-ready platform components like Inspections+ and Steps+
  • Field Service+ mobile project
  • Improved sync and major CRM integrations, and new integrations

By improving these “building blocks” of our platform, we aim for our partners to efficiently build more solutions for their workers. Simultaneously, it opens up more opportunities targeted towards business and back office users, with solutions that are quick to deploy, proven to generate ROI, and address today’s problems of mobile workers.

inline_263_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/DSC06455-1024x683.jpg

4. Understanding mobile workers and the challenges they face

Mobile workers don’t work in the office, so their needs sometimes tend to be forgotten. This is unacceptable, as these workers are crucial for every company’s functioning. They shape the brand and contribute to the company’s success.

It is essential to communicate with these workers and know their needs and the challenges they are facing.

Despite the pandemic, their jobs haven’t changed all that much – they spend much of their time in the field, where they use mobile devices with complicated apps. According to a PwC survey from 2020, a whopping 80 % of HR and IT leaders struggle with worker adoption of new tech.

At Resco, we call the concept of addressing these problems and focusing on the mobile worker’s experience Smart digital worker. Simply put, you have to speak the frontline worker‘s language to be able to create solutions for them.

inline_148_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/DSC06540-1024x683.jpg

5. Engaging frontline workers

Currently, deskless workers are the biggest workforce – globally, there are 2.7 B deskless workers, many of whom are worried about automation and digital transformation negatively impacting their jobs. According to the Microsoft Work Trend Index from 2022, 46 % fear losing their jobs if they don’t adapt to new tech.

To empower frontline workers, we must continuously support them and help them engage throughout the technology adoption lifecycle. You can make this adoption happen by following these five steps:

  1. Build organizational empathy for frontline workers
  2. Get out into the field
  3. Meet frontline workers where they are
  4. Communicate early and often
  5. Take a lifecycle approach to learning & support

We are excited to be organizing the fourth annual Resco Partner Awards!
It is our pleasure to recognize partners that innovate work processes, deliver outstanding business results and, most importantly, transform customers’ businesses for the better.

And as the last year, we have three categories to celebrate:

  • Partner of the Year
  • Breakthrough Partner of the Year
  • Business Impact of the Year

The first two don’t require any input from you and will be evaluated based on available partner KPIs.

But the Business Impact of the Year award holds an opportunity for every partner to tell your success story, celebrate the achievements of your employees, and show what’s possible with mobile technology.

Regardless of where you’re based, your size, or how long you’ve been working with Resco.

So read on to find out more about how to apply and the benefits & prizes.

Business Impact Award – what is it?

This award recognizes the results of a strong partnership between a partner and client they’ve helped transform the business.

We are seeking inspiring and successful stories of how partners made a real impact and delivered meaningful and sustainable changes to customers with Resco technology. Just like last year’s winner FIELDBOSS.

We are looking for stories supporting the mission of empowering organizations with innovative mobile solutions, especially their deskless workers, to achieve more.

inline_961_https://www.resco.net/app/uploads/rescoNEXT_day1_236-scaled.jpg
The Resco Partner Awards 2022 winners & finalists will be announced at resco.NEXT conference in Lisbon.

How will be the submissions assessed?

The winner and finalists should have demonstrated creative problem-solving and leadership, so that the whole customer project is successful – not just the technical implementation.

We will assess the submissions with the following criteria:

  • Measurable: e.g., time saved, increase in clients revenue, number of customers visited, presentations made, decreased sync time, etc.
  • Qualitative: proven by a customer testimonial or quote, e.g., improved collaboration among teams, increased data quality, increased worker satisfaction, etc.
  • Project size: number of active Resco users in the client’s organization
  • Unique IP: we consider it a plus if a partner used a custom solution that they built on Resco technology

Why to apply

The awards bring greater visibility and highlight the expertise of top software integrators from the Resco partner ecosystem.

Becoming an award winner or finalist helps partners to:

  • Establish their company as a leader in enterprise mobility
  • Create new & stronger business opportunities
  • Increase market recognition
  • Generate positive press coverage

The winner and finalists will be featured in follow-up press releases, blogs and other marketing activities, and will receive a marketing kit (award logos, press template, designation badge, photos & video, etc.), so they can promote their accomplishment.

On top of that, the winner will receive two complimentary passes for the resco.NEXT 2023 conference, 4,000 EUR in market development funds, and other valuable rewards.

The winner and finalists will be publicly announced on October 6, 2022, during the Resco Partner Awards ceremony at resco.NEXT 2022 conference in Lisbon, Portugal.

We’re looking forward to receiving your entries! You can apply until September 9.
